Series: Together towards circular farming: collectively transforming the agricultural science paradigm
What is circular farming from the perspective of a small-scale dairy farm? For this second event, participants will take part in an interactive discussion with dairy farmer Roel van Buuren: what cycles need to be closed? Which cycles can be closed on-farm? How can we as society contribute to the shift to more circularity in agriculture?
Dairy farmer Roel van Buuren operates a small-scale diversified farm in Maasland (near Rotterdam) and cares a lot about soil quality and circularity.

To be able to understand the diversity in the agricultural field, the platform invites guest speakers with different farming methods and business models. By looking at the announced paradigm-shift from many different entry points, the platform aims to raise awareness of the multi-levelness of the shift from linear to circular agriculture while presenting how participants contribute.
